About Us

Cocoa Brownin' was founded by sisters Theresah & Jackie. Born and raised in New York City, great style and fashion was embedded in their DNA. While Jackie spent over a decade in retail and Theresah spending years in finance, the desire for entrepreneurship grew.

In recent years, they began an online children's boutique, "Royal Babies & Tots", catering to babies and toddlers. As they focused on this brand, the desire to build something catering to women, grew. After many sleepless nights, their second baby, Cocoa Brownin' was born. 

The idea of Cocoa Brownin’ came about when Theresah and Jackie wanted to curate styles for the everyday woman who were much like themselves- hard-working and dedicated to their passion but also wanting to embrace their sexier and curvier side. As Black women in America, with African parents born and raised in Ghana, it was important to Theresah and Jackie to create something that embraced the Black culture. While this community was built on embracing Black women, Cocoa Brownin’ caters to all women, of all colors, from all backgrounds.
